Fly-in from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam for this fascinating Tanzania safari. The Great Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari is a world-famous event that takes place every year in the Serengeti Masai Mara ecosystem, but the park is still worth visiting whether or not the herds are migrating in the “wild Africa” Serengeti.

The Serengeti safari fly-in package will depart from Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, or Arusha, and can be extended to include additional days in the Serengeti and other Northern Tanzania parks. Additionally, on the third day, we can tailor this package to include a flight from Serengeti to Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Arusha airport, or straight to Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO). Please inform us of your wishes and desires so that we can factor them into your rates. In Central Serengeti, you can stay in a comfortable mid-range tented camp. On request, higher-category accommodations are open.

Other Northern Tanzania parks such as Lake Manyara, Tarangire, and the Ngorongoro Crater can be included in this short Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari. And share your thoughts with us.

When you arrive at Seronera air strip Central Serengeti and meet your safari driver guide, your annual Wildebeest Migration Safari in Serengeti Tanzania will begin.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Serengeti

Report to the Zanzibar airport at 7:00 a.m. for your exciting Serengeti Safari Fly-In adventure. Depart for Serengeti at 8:00 a.m., with arrival at 11:05 a.m. Upon landing, meet your knowledgeable and well-experienced local English-speaking safari driver guide at Seronera airstrip. After greetings, he will provide a quick safari briefing before taking you on a game drive through the vast Serengeti plains as part of your Serengeti Safari Fly-In experience.

A packed lunch will be provided, which can be enjoyed at the Seronera visitor center or in the bush while watching the animals. The Serengeti National Park, with its endless rolling plains, is one of the world’s most renowned wildlife sanctuaries. Its ancient ecosystem draws a wide variety of wildlife, making it a highlight of any Serengeti Safari Fly-In .

The annual Wildebeest Migration is a global phenomenon that takes place here. Wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles migrate in and out of the Serengeti, crossing the Mara River to the Masai Mara in Kenya. Predators and birds of prey play a crucial role in this migration, ensuring the balance of the ecosystem. If the wildebeest migration is present during your 3-day Serengeti Safari Fly-In , you’ll have the chance to witness thrilling animal behaviors such as feeding, fighting, hunting, and even killing.

Herds of wildebeest, zebra, lion, giraffe, camel, hippos, and a variety of antelopes can all be seen during your Serengeti Safari Fly-In . The park is also home to lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and the elusive leopard. Numerous bird species, including ostriches, secretary birds, herons, crowned cranes, and more, add to the diversity of the Serengeti. Drive back to your camp before or after sunset for dinner and overnight.

Afterward, take a break for breakfast in the bush—a unique feature of your Serengeti Safari Fly-In adventure. Continue your game drive until lunchtime, which can be served at the Seronera picnic spot, surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of the Serengeti.
