As you enter the national park, the lush forests of acacia and mahogany trees set the tone for what lies ahead on this Tanzania Safari Tours journey. The game drive will last until late in the afternoon, with a short break for a picnic lunch.
During your Tanzania Safari Tours experience, you should spot buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys. Keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions, a highlight of Lake Manyara National Park—though spotting them is a game of chance.
In the right season, the shoreline turns pink with millions of flamingos, adding to the magic of your Tanzania Safari Tours. Following the game drive, you’ll return to your camp or lodge for a delicious dinner, rounding off an unforgettable day on your Tanzania Safari Tours.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours)
After an early breakfast, take a game drive on the crater floor (5 hours). Lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and a variety of birds can all be seen.
Eagles, vultures, and flamingos can be spotted in Crater Lake, along with storks, bats, giant vultures, sacred ibis, kori bustards, blacksmith plovers, long-necked herons, and cattle eagles.
Following a picnic lunch at the lovely Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascent to the crater’s top exit. The day will come to a close with a 2-hour drive to your Karatu lodging.
A delicious, freshly prepared dinner will be waiting for you at your chosen lodging. You will be exhausted after these days of safari, and a good night’s sleep is essential. The final leg of your safari will begin the next day.
Tarangire to Arusha, Day 3
After a delectable breakfast, the final day of your safari will begin at 8:00 a.m. Today’s destination is Arusha, where you’ll take a half-day game drive in Tarangire National Park.
The majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape are a hallmark of Tanzania’s third-largest National Park. These towering giants dwarf the animals that feed beneath them.
The Tarangire River is the focal point of this park, attracting some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. Lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe, and zebra can all be found here. This park is also a prime location for spotting the famous Big Five Tanzania Safaris.
By mid-afternoon, you’ll have wrapped up your adventure and be on your way to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off at your preferred location around 6 p.m. This is the time to say your goodbyes to your team after an incredible experience and a lifetime of memories.
